The festival of Durga Puja is also known as Durgotsava (the Feast of Durga). Goddess Durga Maa is known by a variety of names and incarnations. She is considered as the world's most important energy source as Maa Adhyashakti. On each of the nine days of Navratri, a new incarnation of Maa Durga is worshipped. By doing this Puja, one has the ability to conquer any and all difficulties in life.

After invoking Durga Mata and reciting her mantras, the Puja is conducted in order to get her blessings from the goddess.

When Should I Perform Durga Puja? 


It is considered auspicious to do this Puja on Tuesdays, Fridays and Ashtami, and during Navratri.
